Newer slots have unwinnable runs- even if you have two 7s on the board, the game decides in advance whether it will let you win or not. If it decides not, there's no amount of save-stating that can change the outcome. The irony is that newer slots are closer to gambling than the original ones, so they ditched the concept entirely and went with voltorb flip.
