OP here. I personally see Froakie being Poison, and I would go with 8. Chespin is gonna be a faster, less deffensive version of Ferrothorn.

Dont know how viable is a Fire/Ground competitively, tho. Camerupt doesn't do much good.

It's not the typeset that is Camerupt's flaw, more like the stat distribution.

I didn't said it at first (to avoid shitstorm or misleading the thread), but this is actually based on a post that Hiro posted in a Spanish community, saying that one of this combinations, is actually the true one.

You may believe it or not, but I though it would be interesting if /vp/ would like any of this combinations. You can screen it, if you want, for later joy/desolation

Water/Poison is kinda neato also, given Tentacruel's success (mainly because is deffenses tho)

In EOL (the Spanish thread brought here several times) the users started guessing the the types, and that's what they came out with (8 different users)

F. Lombardi said one of them actually got them all right. Now, on Twitter, somebody asked him for the starter's types, to what Hiro referenced to that thread for the guy to look for clues.

Now that answer you highlated has been a popular guessed one, and I personally don't find it viable (too obvious + dark is inmune to psychic)

Number eight seems the most interesting.

Also Fennekin being Fire/Ground seems more likely than any other option considering what it's based on.
