Who do you consider to be notable personalities from the fan community? No officials, just amateurs. Here's a preliminary list I made:

Joe "confirmed" Merrick a.k.a. Serebii. Runs one of the most popular and reliable western Pokémon news sites. Rumours are often (dis)proven by whether or not he reports it. A bit of an ego, but usually deservedly so.

Liam "what van?" Pomfret a.k.a. Archaic. Informal authority on all things pokéshipping and current head of Bulbagarden, whose Bulbanews, Bulbapedia, and forum provide Serebii's greatest competition.

Jesús "no es fake" Casado a.k.a. Hirobyte. Collaborator on the Spanish ONM and the website Pokéxperto, considered main instigator of Wottergate along with Melkor. Currently possibly trolling everyone.

Jon "get a catchphrase already" Sahagian a.k.a. Water Pokémon Master. Film enthusiast and administrator of Pokébeach. Managed to carve his niche by focusing on the often overlooked card game aspect of the franchise.

Gin a.k.a. Denkimouse. Electric Type aficionado and administrator of Sunyshore. The best possibility western fans have of obtaining Japan-only Pokémon merchandise, making her quite beloved amongst collectors.
