When I hatched a shiny Sneasel the other day, at first I was like "woah, is that a shiny?" and then started jumping and punched my bed for a few secs in joy, but than I countinued doing my business.

It feels pretty good, but not THAT good.

I caught karp and Machop in an old ruby cartridge, with karp being a gyarados used as an hm slave and machop being a lv. 38 machamp with an effort ribbon. Oh well.

The Gastly was recently caught. Fucking Jolly nature god fucking damn it.

Its pissy how thats the main attraction point, not the shiny itself, but moreso they caught it on camera. Which really, is not that hard to do.

Obviously, for someone that has been searching for their first shiny for what seems like a long time, it will be an extremely strong feeling when they finally find one, especially if they have to battle it.

Now if you haven't been looking for the shiny for too long, if you've seen a ton of 'em, or if it's an unexpected encounter, it will be less strong, obviously.

Soft resetting is the dumbest thing I've ever seen.

It's like, you're playing a game right, where you roll a dice to decide an outcome. RNG/Pokegenning is picking up the dice and putting it on the number you want. SRing is sitting there, halting the game and rolling the dice repetitively until you get the number you want, and every time you don't going "practice! Didn't count!"

SRers lie to themselves and try and act like they aren't cheating when they effectively are, just in the dumbest, most mind-numbing way possible.

I've played every main series game since Red came out. I have never encountered a wild shiny. I finally got a shiny in White a few days after it came out when I was breeding Solosis for my team. It didn't have a good nature though, so I dunno. Currently replaying Emerald for the first time in like 5-6 years, really hoping I'll find a shiny at some point, though I doubt it.
