Going to Toys R Us in 2006 and waiting in line for an hour to get Mew with a bunch of other Pokemon-fans. That was fun.
Also, getting Emerald for the first time (But my memory is hazy on that because I remember starting it in two different places, but I never resetted my file when I first got it...), and Diamond. DIamond came in the mail 2 days after it's release date, and I whipped out that preorder stylus and played it all evening, scarfing down my dinner to go play it again.
