After XY do you expect a third version, a sequel, or a prequel?

Personally I want them to go back to third versions. BW2 was probably their weakest game in years, in terms of story, and quite disappointing. No one aging in PWT sucked too Plus I'm partial to having canon storylines

it's sequels from no one logically. But part of me is also expecting remakes. it's been 10 years since Gen 3 came out. Time to recycle Hoenn and Kanto again.

Personally I think BW2 had a strong story comparative to the rest of the series, just not as strong as BW. If they could pull off two BW quality level stories in a row I wouldn't mind it again.

BW2 was only half as good as BW1 story-wise, but still way better than the rest of the series story-wise. I wouldn't mind whichever way they decide.

BW2 saved Gen V.... so.... not sure what you're going on about there.

But I do prefer the 3rd game instead of follow ups. Crystal for example was brilliant. Platinum as well.

BW2 fixed 90% of that and added more awesome on top of that.

I have never understood this complaint. Yes, the region had a simpler shape than most. But how was the progress any more "linear" than in any previous game? This is not an open-world series. You've never had a choice as to where to go next.

Eh, it's what I like. The 3rd game usually improves on the other two and brings interesting mechanics into a game that I like. If I don't like the first 2, I won't buy the next.

It's all about preference I guess. I did enjoy BW2, but I guess nostalgia just pulls me back to Crystal.

Gen III remakes? Sure. Just cut some trumpets and maybe give us a alternative to all the water routes. Like a underground cave system that was found after Groudon caused a earthquake after reviving him. Maybe Kyogre caused some cavern of water to empty out by causing tsunamis.

Not like it would have to be entirely believable, it is Pokemon after all, they don't have to explain shit.

It was far smaller than the other regions. Bridges are filler and 40% of the region was sectioend off in BW1, making for an extremely short league challenge. BW2 fixed this by adding more areas, using better pacing, and meandering across the whole region.

Johto and Kanto.
In Johto, after beating Morty, you could either go west to Olivine or east to Mahogany. Didn't really matter. You could also gather the Kanto badges in any order desired.
Not only that B/W had no endgame.

I preffer them as a sequel, having a 3d game only means same thing that you already played with different poke's and maybe some post-game content.

WHICH could be there since the first 2 versions, instead of just waiting for a 3rd one.

I guess it depends, if X/Y have flaws, theyll have a 3rd installment to upgrade them, if theyre just good by themselves, theres no need for that.

No endgame. Okay, yes, BW's endgame can't hold a candle to HGSS, Platinum or hell even Emerald, but it has much more than people give it credit for. Especially considering it's a first version, versions that are never know for a large post-game
