Please, someone. Defend IVs to me. Explain how they are a good mechanic. And don't say it's to make every Pokemon unique, because between natures, EVs, there's plenty of that.
As it stands all IVs so is make it so that you have to either hack or spend hours breeding to get the strongest possible Pokemon. And unlike nature hunting or EV training, there's no creativity to it aside from Trick Room shit. Jolly and Adamant are both valid options, and EVs can be used strategically, but 31 IVs is better than 0 IVs, no questions asked, no tradeoff required.
