>>12137119>Guess Eevee is all female too then right Oh waitYou're ignoring my point. My point is that they went out of their way to give the gender of ONE of his Pokemon, the unevolved Eevee, making a possible hint that it's a pre-requisite for Sylveon. They barely if ever just give away genders like that in the anime. Do you know how long it took for Pikachu's gender to be confirmed?
>Eevee is 1/8 femaleSo?
>A character in the anime being a certain gender proves nothing because they HAVE to be ONE OR THE OTHERYeah. It could have been the other, or ambiguous. They didn't HAVE to tell the audience.
>If Sylveon in the anime were male that would give EQUAL CHANCE that Sylveon was male-only, fucking stupidWhat?
>A sample size of 1 is not validIt's not concrete, but it is suspicious.
>There have been many feminine Pokemon with feminine names that have not been female only>There have been many masculine Pokemon with masculine names that have not been male onlyThere have been many feminine Pokemon with feminine names that ARE female only. How does this make my idea stupid again? When did I state that my idea is 100% true again?
>The fact that ONE out of ALL of the references happens to have characteristic X proves very little. While the other names are gender neutral AT BEST. The problem I have with the sylph example is that nymph has very little to do with the air exclusivity that sylph implies. Fee and sylvan don't completely go against the idea of being female. Also note that Kangaskhan and Mandibuzz also have very female hinting names in one language while the other languages don't.
