Why do people keep saying BW had a good story?

Or a good intro and end credits? I mean, I'll give you the story was something, but those were terrible.

Personally, I was only surprised that the badguy in BW actually attacked cities and used Legendary Pokemon. It was a real step up from the other badguys who just hold a few people up in a building and then kinda stand by as legendary Pokemon duke it out.

Story wise however, I felt silly. It seemed everyone knew everyone, but I was always ignored. Like I was playing a D&D game where the Dungeon master was more interested in their NPC's showing off how amazing and interesting they were than treating me like the hero.

This, I was fucking sick of how they tried to push N down my throat and play it off as if he was the coolest character ever.

In the end, he was an unlikable aspie. And before someone mentions his backstory, having pity is not the same as liking him.

Also pulling of that "We fight because destiny says so" bullshit, I prefer to become a legend on my own not because of some fucking prophecy.

There was nothing wrong with Sinnoh outside of people exaggerating about caves or HMs. I recently replayed the Gen 4 games and noticed that DPPt and HGSS require the same number of HMs to progress with the game.

Unova was WAY too urban, and cities like Mistralton, Icirrus, Village Bridge, and Lacunosa Town were phoned in like crazy.

Then you have the pointless Entralink gobbling up the middle of the region (which could've been used for something else), the bridges acting like filler, and GF sectioning off 40% of the region until after the E4.

Unova gave me this weird feeling of claustrophobia with they way they limited exploration so much. Thank goodness for the postgame where I could finally get some liberty.

There was an image of Unova back before BW2 came out that basically showed you that Unova was a question mark and that the region is simpler than the others.

Only good ones you'll get are from the PMD series (except the first one) and it radically changes a lot of the core concepts, such as completely omitting humans and having the pokemon speak and act like people

It had a good story when compared to other pokemon games. It's the first time on the franchise GF cares a bit about human characters on the pokeverse. We even had glimpses of character development.

And the end credits were great, after you complete the main story beating Ghetsis, you get an epic ost(epic on the actual defitinion of epic) that makes you really feel like the hero of Unova.

Gold/Silver was in a shitty system but it actually tried.

And yes the characters were more fleshed out, but the actual story was just like the other ones, the only diference was that it wasn't the champion battle that started the end credits.

I wouldn't have so much problem with if it wasn't that it's getting praised for the story when it was the characters that were the actual focus, and even then, they were all pretty boring except for Ghetsis.

Please. Cheren and Bianca both had great coming of age stories that dealt with figuring out what to do with your life in a surprisingly mature way. And that's to say nothing of N, the first real anti villain of the series, and a damned good one at that.
