It's so funny how so many of these are predicated on certain Pokemon resembling each other (Kangaskhan/Cubone, Venonant/Butterfree, this shit).
Yeah it couldn't possibly be that the designs in Gen 1 were homogenous and recycled certain features because cba. The same gen that thought Dugtrio and Magneton were acceptable evolutions. No, it's got to be some deep-seated conspiracy on the part of GF involving every Pokemon that looks even slightly similar.
