I'm trying to breed for an adamant heracross with guts in my Emerald game, how come everyone I hatch has swarm? The parent (male) heracross has Guts and it's breeding with a dito

Guts is the DW ability, you need a DW female, ask wifig to trade you one over the GTS

Actually Moxie is the DW ability. And I'm not quite sure how abilities work when you use a Ditto, but if you want to ensure you get a Guts Heracross, you need a female one. Ask Wi-Fi General for one.

Pokemon inherit abilities from females. If its just Male+Ditto, its up to RNG.
Thats why people trade DWF as opposed to any old dream world pokemon
