I'm thinking of having an offensive Steelix on my team. What would be the best build?

Right now I'm thinking:

Rock Head
Brave nature
252 Attack / 252 HP / 6 SDef
Leftovers (to help keep him going longer)

Gyro Ball
Earthquake
Payback
Double-Edge

I've been trying for a long time to use Steelix in my comp teams and stuff, but fuck it is hard. Right now I have max Atk and Hp, and use Iron Tail, Earthquake, Ice Fang and Automize.

I don't go for speed with Steelix, 30 isn't going anywhere even with two uses of Autotomize. Make him as bulky as possible so he can tank a lot of hits while he attacks.

Curse works well for him, it makes his sky-high defense even higher while increasing his attack and the speed drop makes even more things get hit by a full-powered STAB Gyro Ball.

Go Curse, anon. Double-Edge ain't helping you hit much of anything, and it'll allow you to go Sturdy while boosting your middling Attack. It also lets you go HP/SpDef EVs to maximize lasting power since you're boosting all the other relevant stats.

Or, you could go Sheer Force:
Fire Fang/Curse, Earthquake, Iron Head/Iron Tail, Rock Slide.

What's the damage difference between a full-power Gyro Ball and a Sheer Force-boosted Iron tail? I suck at math.

Wouldn't Ice Fang or Thunder Fang be better, to hit Ground, Dragon, and Water-types?
