if the next gen of pokemon after X/Y focused more on the prehistory of the pokemon world, and science had just come up with a time travel device , which the enemy team used for evil, and you had to chase them through time, discovering all sorts of ancient pokemon.
this game wouldn't feature the traditional beat 8 gyms and an elite 4, but rather a well paced, heavily story driven game introducing a whole lot of "new" pokemon that existed millions of years ago in the pokemon world...

the game would start off normally, you get your starter, but the enemy team barges through the lab and demands the keys to the portal or something like that. after the enemies clear out, the Prof. gives you his spare and off you go.

would you enjoy this? you could go to PC storage units and healers set up by the evemy team to buy pokeballs and keep in touch with the Professor back home
