Shellders trainer has to split half his belongings with the other trainer, pay support for the Slowbro, pay rent on his old house which the new trainer can now move into, and is only allowed to see the Slowbro at weekends, bi weekly.

I'm not to sure about that. Bulbasaur's dex entry does say that a 'strange seed' was planted on it's back at birth, and a pokemon based on a bulb with 'odd' in its name is from the generation. Venusaur's and Vileplume's flowers look very similar.
