Gen III has a large amount of 2 stage evolutions with below average BSTs like sharpedo, camerupt, crawdaunt, cacturne and breloom. Many of these pokemon are not early game pokemon like the regional rodents or birds and are even to be fairly impressive/powerful in the main story. Why is this?
