I've heard in lots of places that when your trainer ID consists of repeating numbers (like 11111 or 55555) the chances of a wild pokémon being shiny are reduced a little.
My question is: Has somebody proven this? I've come to think it's a load of bullshit, if it was really like that why would the probability be always around 1/8000?
I'm asking because I'm starting a new run on my Emerald cartridge to go all the way so I'd rather get one of those IDs if that is true.
