For the years I was most obsessed with May, the girls I went to school with didn't have the body of early AG May, so she kind of became this uncomparible object of beauty to which I held my peers up to. And now, here I am, ten years later, now older than a character who remains the same age I was when I fell in love with her.
Granted, I like May for more that just her body, but as a young'un, that's what made the biggest impression on my then-innocent eleven-year-old mind.
