The Japanese movie HAS actually been hyped by the western Pokemon social media accounts but not as much because the movies don't make the cinema in the west anymore and take over a year to get localized and released direct to DVD.
Sylveon WAS hyped by the Pokemon accounts in the west, doesn't anyone remember the 'We're going to reveal a new Pokemon at the end of the week' and people going mad thinking Sylveon was 'Love type' because they announced it on Valentines Day?
Almost all the latest Pokemon info since X/Y was announced (Including movies et al) has been hyped in the west too, they are making their announces simultanious with the official Corocoro releases. You just don't notice it half the time because it doesn't get officially announced until Corocoro has gone on sale in Japan, at which point the leaks seem like old news.
