Keyboard cat has barely any likeness at all. Isn't there some children's story about a cat playing a piano? As long as they don't clearly say "keyboard cat" then that guy has nothing.(even then fair use probably covers it) as for nyan cat I would again think fair use covers using an internet meme since, despite being copy written material it is widely known and shared every day. It will be interesting to see if they bring this up in court.

Dude is stupid for even thinking he could get any money from WB.

The Nyan cat thing could be different, after all it was one guy's creation. If he only uploaded it to DA he theoretically could sue them since he would still have right on it.
But then again, WB could just mention that he never did anything against the Nyan cat video or the pictures so he kinda lost there too.

I downloaded a podcast called Stuff You Should Know, they did one about the superbowl. For copyright reasons they weren't allowed to broadcast the word "superbowl".
They had to keep referring to it as "the match" or "the game"
