>>12191230I'm saying the entire deal with Stealth Rocks is that it's commonplace, but deals with weaknesses.
Earthquake is the same thing, except it's an offensive move that you actually have to choose. That doesn't make it any less commonplace. That doesn't make Aggron any more OU.
If Stealth Rocks was banned, that would just be basically negating the danger of a rock type weakness (because the physical rock moves are so unreliable and nobody uses the special ones)
I wasn't saying shit about their definitions. I'm saying the entire part where Stealth Rocks being banned moves Pokemon up in tiers would only do so because you're just plain removing their weaknesses. It would be the same thing if you removed the commonplace ground weakness in Earthquake. A bunch of ground-weak Pokemon would shoot up in tiers because, just like Articuno doesn't fear Rocks anymore, those Pokemon don't fear ground anymore.
You're ignoring my entire argument and just picking out bits of it to deny and invalidate.
And besides, you don't win a game with Stealth Rocks, and you see Earthquake on every other Pokemon too, but that's not banned because you also don't win any games by spamming Earthquake either. On the other hand, you're at a clear disadvantage if you're against perma-weather, or you were facing a Genesect due to how numbers-based Pokemon is.
