What could it gain from an evolution, though? Being bulky wouldn't make sense at all, it doesn't need speed because of Sucker Punch, and its attack is already sky-high.

The only thing they could do to Absol is give it more speed. Give it an evolution that doesn't do anything but bring its speed to say... 95, then we get Absol with decent defenses, assuming Eviolite.

There is no reasonable way to give it an evolution.

You can only go so far, and to dominate you need to get a SD boost, soemthing you won't pull because Absol has the defense of a wet sheet of paper and will die to anything

It can't function well as a sweeper because of its low speed.
