The point is that there are pokemon who have FAIRY in their name or are hinted at at being faires, and yet are not.
So really, the argument of the names, while interesting, is faulty in the fact that for 4 generations, We've had fairy pokemon, and they haven't needed a type.
We've had fairy pokemon who are more obviously fairies than Sylveon, and yet they were pre-existing types
I'm not saying the damn things not a fairy.
I'm saying people need to understand that we already have fairy pokemon, and them being fairies doesn't have anything to do with their typing.
