Sup /vp/,
So two colleagues from my old college pestered a bunch of artist friends and I to do some art pieces for a charity auction:
>https://www.doodlebender.com/auctio...-auction/items/ The theme was our own personal takes on the original 151 Pokemon.
All the proceeds go to Canines For Disabled Kids, a non-profit organization that provides trained service dogs for deaf and physically disabled children.
Out of the 151 artists that participated in this event, many of them are industry professionals, some are art students, and some are straight up art school dropouts.
Sign up at the Doodlebender Website and place a bid on one before May 16th! Or throw some cash at a kid or a dog on street, whatever.

Jumping on the Pokémon Battle Royale bandwagon, I see. I like the concept and execution, but I wish someone would also acknowledge the other gens for once, or maybe even focus exclusively on them. A good Salamence, Vespiquen or Darmanitan would sell just as easily as a Charizard or Pikachu imo. Apart from that, these look good. Might keep an eye on some of them. By the way, how long has this project been going on? Because I know for sure I've seen that Gyarados art before.

I use the term fandom loosely because people who only aknowledge 1-151 are not fans

>original 151 Pokemon Yeah go fuck yourself OP. Wish people weren't catering to nostalgiafags and people who are like this video right here.

>>12198385 It's for friggin charity man. Like it or not, the purpose of a charity is to collect money, and the makers of this felt like taking the "safe" card and cater to older peeps being nostalgic for their childhood aka people more likely to have money to give.
Yes, it kinda sucks that gen 1 are the only pokemon widely acknowledged outside of the pokemon fanbase, but ffs man.

Most of the art is terrible. Omastar is awesome though, I'll consider it, but I don't even know what medium these are. Canvas? Or will I get a shitty print?

Saged, advertising isn't allowed. Being a nostalgiafag disabled those kids feels and you're only making it worse.
