Let's say they are going to make a 3D Pokemon game for the WiiU. Let's say it isn't going to suck like all the others. What would you want it to be like?
Here are my ideas:
>cel-shaded
I think a cel-shaded art style would fit the tone of pokemon perfectly. I'd want it to look as close to Ken Sugimori's original artwork.
>you can see pokemon in the wild
...unless they are hiding. I think it would be great to walk outside and be able to see pokemon running, flying, or swimming around in the wild. Of course, many would be hiding in tall grass, and these encounters would still happen randomly while traveling. But being able to see pokemon in the wild would open up a whole new realm of possibilities for catching.
>a whole new realm of possibilities for catching pokemon
using bait, nets, and even traps would be a cool addition in my opinion. They could even expand fishing so that you could choose what bait you use, and maybe add fly fishing to catch different types. If they implemented nets to catch bug/bird pokemon, you would still have to battle the pokemon, but catching one in a net is what would initiate the battle. I think it would be neat if battles with wild pokemon were initiated in one of two ways: either they attack you (which can sometimes be avoided), or you actively have to pursue THEM (they sometimes run away)
>customizable protag
Not only in appearance (which is a given) but in other stuff as well. You should be able to choose between being a trainer, or a breeder, or a coordinator, or a fisherman, or a professor, or a combination of whatever you want to be. Your "class" would be determined by your actions, and what events you participate in.
