I've played (and beaten) Red, Yellow, Cystal, Silver, Gold, Fire Red, Ruby, Emerald, Diamond, Black, White, and Black 2 in that order.

The only thing I really hate about gen V is the way they equalised the elite 4. Before it was a progression that gradually got tougher and you felt you were achieving something as you slogged through increasingly higher level masters. The 'fight in any order you want' thing really bugs me

-I know that those tentacool/wingull/trumpets are pretty damn annoying but probably the reason why people think Hoenn is 75% water is because there's nothing to go back in the previous areas (looks like 50% water to me)
-Hippies aren't the most evil group I've seen so far
-I usually just shrug off whatever the rivals throw at me but Blue/Gary/whatever-you-named-him proved much of a challenge to me, probably because my team was pretty much beat-up after fighting the E4 and that I exhausted all of my potions.
I never knew that there WAS a rival in Hoenn, you rarely fight Wally, from what I remember it was only 2 times(excluding rematches from the pokenav), and that May was nowhere near a challenge for me
-Hoenn's E4 was nowhere difficult, they should have made them stronger after every battle like what they did in FR/LG
-gen.III legendaries were the hardest for me to get so far, catching Latias took forever for me, Regi Trio was pretty hard for me to find without using any guides

I hate DPPT. They are the only games I've played once and then got rid of. The gen has barely any good mons and they were usually evolutions of older ones, the look of the region is just okay/10, I remember none of the music, legendaries are coupled with the shitty mons, and that galactic shit where you defy gravity was one of the worst parts in any game I've ever played. At least Magnezone is more than just 4/5 Magnemite stuck together. Tangrowth and Magmortar are actually pretty useful Pokemon, too. I don't understand how Electivire can be the ONLY Pokemon from Gen 4 that you like.
