ITT stupid in-game mistakes you've made.

Forgot to switch out Static Pokemon when hunting for a 5% and wondering why only electric Pokemon were popping up.

Everybody does this shit every once in a while. That and not very effective moves.

I often play pokémon absent minded while I do some other thing, so it's not rare for me to not pay attention and click a random move and then go "oh shit"

I've also managed to use status moves when I could have won the battle with a single hit if I'd pick the right move.

Using Hyper Beam on an Articuno while it was Flying up high.

In my defense I had recently been playing a lot of Dragon Ball Z: Legendary Super Warriors, a game in which beam attacks are most effective against an opponent in the air.
