Hi /vp/oreons, i'm doing a Poison mono-type run on Heartgold. What Pokeymanz should i have?

Current team:

>Zubat
>Gastly
>Male Nidoran

I thinked about catch a Venonat and a Skorupi, to substitute Gastly. What the fuck should i do?

Also mono-type, Nuzlocke and other mods thread.

Keep Gastly, you want a Ground immune, and Haunter/Gengar are fantastic.
Keep Tentacool, also fantastic; great SpDef for your team.
Get dat Skorupi, Drapion fantastic; great Def and good Attack for your team.

Venonat and Oddish will have overlapping roles [team support with status], so consider which typing you prefer.

Crobat is great, but doesn't get a physical STAB over 60 base on its own, so is heavily reliant on TMs.

Nidoking has amazing coverage, something your team will appreciate.

I love Vileplume [screw you Bellossom; Vileplume will never get Leaf Blade because of you], and adore Oddish, but even I have a hard time recommending it, whether in competitive or in-game.

In-game, it has the most pathetic level up movepool. You rely on Mega Drain and Acid [40 base move] until lvl 47, when you get Giga Drain, or until Mahogany Town for the Sludge Bomb TM.

I adore this line of Pokemon, but I'd be lying if I didn't say it wasn't a pain to level each and every time I use it in-game.

I did the same thing in VoltWhite, replace the oddish with a bulbasaur and get a koffing. Koffing is amazing.
