It's like gold, but better, more of it, and most important of all, physical/special split.

Make sure to break the game by getting swinub and yanma, and evolving them to yanmega and mamoswine

best pokemon game i ever played and it gave the most fun so far, and i played all of them. I had GBC and pokemon Blue when they were new and since then buy regulary every generation and nintendo handheld and so far HG is best pokemon game if you ask me. Ton on pokemon, nostalgia mode (especially with GB SOUND key item) and the strongest opponent RED + leader rematches. HG gives best battle experience in-game without wi-fi.

It really wouldn't, I was just being a tad facetious. But the game did seem a little imbalanced because of the new pokemon/moves/physical special split that they added.

Kanto sucks ass. There's nothing to do there at all, like no cool post story plot, just battling easy as piss gym leaders. And for some ass-backwards reason once you get to Kanto you can catch Johto pokemon that weren't available in Johto. It's fucking stupid.

You can get Lugia and Ho-oh in both games.

Groudon and Kyogre are the exclusive legendaries.

You can get one kanto starter and one hoen starter once you finish the fight with red. If anything, get it so you can get those fuckers in black and white, and maybe X and Y if the game allows transfers (I hope it does)
