Honestly, I wouldn't be at ease.
Having a six foot humanoid bird constantly following me would be a little... weird.
I can imagine there would be a few uneasy glances from random people if it decided to follow me when I go to buy groceries in town.
Would I even be able to stop it if it wanted to enter my house?
"No, that's MY bed! Go to the couch! Over there!"
I imagine it might get fascinated by my TV, though.
I wouldn't try to tame it. Not a first, at least.
I'd just, you know, try to cope with it.
Because if that thing was to get pissed off, dear god, poor me...
