He calls the player a weakling even after you hand him his ass on a silver platter. What does that make him, then? At least Blue acknowledged that he lost.
Furthermore, at least Blue accomplished shit. He got to become champion. What did Silver do? Shit nothing, that's what. He hated Team Rocket because of his daddy issues, but Ethan shuts them down instead. Instead of trying to catch and raise good Pokemon, he had to steal two of his Pokemon because he's a garbage trainer (and who the fuck steals a Sneasel over a Shuckle?), and he ends the game just faffing about in the dragon den, accomplishing absolutely nothing by the end of the game.
As I said, the most pathetic non-Gen 3 rival. Is he better than Wally and Brendan/May? Obviously. But is he better than Blue, Barry, Cheren, Bianca, or Hugh? No. He sucks.
