I'm
>>12226241Maybe I should've explained, I really don't mind IVs but I wouldn't miss them either.
1. Most children don't get to know about them unless they check same level fresh captures, and even then they don't understand why they are like that or that you can breed them, and most importantly they don't really care.
2. Now for older gamers or competitive battlers, they don't want "unique pokémon", they want the best and IVs are just in the way since they don't add much value to stats (5 pts max) but are just there to tell there's better pokémon than the one you have.
3. And they also fail at making pokemon unique where it truly matters, the way you see your pokémon is what decides how you PLAY, and since IVs are invisible they add nothing to the expirience in point 1, and in point 2 they just encourage serious gamers to try to get the same stat and make their 'mons less unique.
4. IVs used to also decide the gender and shiny factors, but that was asigned to another value which could easily be done to Hidden Power too.
In the end, IVs just seem to be the most pointless mechanic in the game, so I don't care that they exist but also wouldn't care if they're gone.
Why aren't they gone anyway if they're so pointless? The simple answer is that is a fault in the game's design, I can admit that GF makes mistakes. But since some fans have embraced the whole thing and GF wouldn't want to upset them, it seems they won't be gone soon.
>>12226622>like their opinion is absolute and they know what's best for pokemon when I have to wonder why people think like that. You're just assuming things and are also being a hypocrite.
If you don't really mind that feature gone well that's just you, and if you didn't care about it and it doesn't affect the core game as you said, then why are you whining that other people want it back?
It IS a novelty, like most of the game's sounds and animations, but they are still there while this one that so many cared about isn't.
