Chandelure is my favorite and is also great competitively with a set of Sub/Calm Mind/Shadow Ball/Flamethrower @ Salac Berry. Almost all existing ghosts are good competitively though.

I really hope Banette gets more love in gen VI. I'm nervous that an evo would look like shit, but at this point it needs all that it can get.

I have always loved the Ghost types but the Golurk line has kind of resonated with me in a way that none of the others have before. Haunted used to be an auto-include on most of my teams until Gen V when Golette surprised me with how useful he was. That and I've always wished for a ghostly suit of armor Dullahan type Pokemon and that line is probably the closest we'll ever get to it.

I'm an ice man myself, but I do enjoy a good ghost type every once in a while. My favorite ghost type is froslass followed closely by chandelure (I always name mine Torchie).

I feel like rotom might be the easiest to try to use? even if it's not ghost type in its forms in gen5, the forms make it pretty versatile. It's probably my favorite ghost type because of that.
