Having multiple pockets keeps them from being in the same one and scratching each other.
Not to mention I carry my phone and wallet on me constantly.
Hell I'll pocket my lighter, small pipe, and little pouch of weed with me. Only if I know it will be safe to smoke somewhere.
Plus gotta have room for some earbuds for when I stream some Pandora.
Not to mention having room for my 3DS if me and my friend want to battle subway together.
