>The remakes were lazyI guess you're right that they're not lazy, but I think FireRed and LeafGreen tried to hard to perfectly recreate the experience of Red and Blue until the postgame. Stuff like being unable evolve Chansey or Golbat until the game is done isn't LAZY by any means, but I think it's frustrating game design.

Never played it, but I've played some pretty shitty JRPGs. FF5 can't possibly be worse than Quest 64.
