How do you think Pokemon would change if you could only see your own Pokemon's lifebar, not your opponents?

Either you have no indicators until the opponent drops dead, or the Pokemon's sprite changes instead of green/yellow/red health bars. You're still notified of super effective hits and crits.

Better? Worse? How would it affect the metagame?
