Tretta has never garnered that much attention. Certainly not enough to wipe out X/Y. However, I do not know if it being on 3DS will change the rules. One wonders why they would even bother. If it comes before X/Y, it will only be up to the fifth gen unless they can update it by DLC. Rumble came out with enough time for it to a distraction, this would not.

I know Tretta has been a thing in Japan for a while now. I just hope it doesn't end up taking up space in CoroCoro. Chances are it won't even leave Japan, so it'd be a waste to delay XY news in favor of some shitty late-gen money grab.

This late in the game it likely will include gen vi characters. Many japanese pokemon fans I follow on twitter post their stats from the arcade machines.
