So I frequently see the sentiment that "dragons are overpowered" but I am here to assert that inherently, the dragon type is actually pretty balanced, serving as a pretty good defensive type. Let's look at the weaknesses and resistances, the very factors that define a type.

They are only super effective against themselves. How is that overpowered? They are resisted by the best defensive type in the game. At the same time they are only weak to ice and dragon, but resist grass, electric, fire, and water. Like I said, pretty good defensive type, but does that sound inherently overpowered?

If Gamefreak really wanted to balance dragons, instead of creating some new type like people keep asking, they should really nerf outrage and stop making a dozen psuedolegendary 5000 BST dragon types every gen that's what's broken.
