Okay /vp/, I'm doing a new run in Emerald version and have a quick question.

How good is Ninjask in-game? Is he satisyfing/worth using at all? I'm trying to use Pokemon that I usually don't this time around, and I just wanted to know what I'd be getting myself into by adding one to my team. Thanks in advance.

oh you crafty motherfucker

anyways ninjask is awful in game, those 61/45/50 defences just kill it, all it can do to save itself is double team, and even then you're gunna have to do that shit EVERY BATTLE
also the best bug-type move it learns is fucking FURY CUTTER (unless you're going to breed for silver wind).
pretty much the only reason you should use ninjask over a badass mofo like heracross is to baton pass (which it gets at level fuckin 45) shit over
it gets swords dance and double team

Hit the nail on the head anon. But yea OP you can do better. Its moveset is just lackluster and even if it was its stats leave alot to be desired.

It's fucking awful and Nincada takes years to level up. I used one on Ruby, it's useable only once it gets Swords Dance + Slash.

You can use anything in game. I have a level 90 Luvdisc that I used in a Soul Silver run. The last time I played White 2 a fucking Unfezant was my MVP. I solo'd LeafGreen with a Pidgeot. I really can't imagine Ninjask would be worse than any of those.

Aleight, so it's agreed that Ninjask is no good in game. Thanks guys, I was kind of hesistant to begin with, but it's good that I'm not just crazy and he really does suck.

Anyways, does anyone have a suggestion as to who I can use to fill my last team slot?

My team thus far consists of:

Combusken
Kirlia
Lombre
Golbat
Trapinch

I've never used it myself but I'd imagine that you could cope with it by teaching it hyper beam or something.
