(nothing like Lapras, Tropius, or Bouffalant) The pokes I would immediately take as being good starters of a specific type were mostly from the first gen, even though I will mostly accept any pokemon that's suitably small as a starter, along with being the lowest form of an evo line or a non-evolving poke. Which one would I like the best? The pokemon that's always induced this line of thought for me is Nidoran, specifically the male one for me. Whenever I see it, I think it perfectly represents the Poison type. I've always been partial to them. If I am to use logic related to where I grew up, it'd probably be some kind of forest pokemon or a swamp dweller. Most likely Treecko because of all the pine trees.
