Its a Mawile Prevo

It evolves into an electric steel type through normal evolution and it evolves into Mawile with some special evolution method so it explains why there isnt any of the prevo pokemon in hoenn

My first impression is... bad.

They look like cartoon characters. I just want more pokemon with 'generic anime eyes' (like pidgey or whatever). It makes them feel more like pokemon to me.

That being said, I kinda like mr. panda. And birdbutt there is slightly better than pidove.

I think this is the first time I can point to a Pokemon design and say something makes it unpokemon like: The eyes.

Whoever is drawing these needs to change how they do the eyes. Pokemon typically have have angular or small eyes, and when they DID have large eyes, they have large irises and no pupils. The new art is WAY too round and the pupils look weird

The goat and bird are fine, but the lizard is just terrible. I first noticed this during a group picture with Sylveon.

the goat is alright, but now that I see he's going to be bantha-huge when you ride him around town he's even better in my eyes.

Pokemon's eyes used to be a lot more expressive, and they used to actually have musculature. Now everything is rounded off and the eyes are jut big gooey orbs.

Bird has some serious potential. If its evo is promising, it has a good chance of making the cut.

GottaGoGoat is neat looking, but if he isn't the only rideable Pokemon, then I may hold out for something better.

The electric type is....meh. Most likely not making the cut.

The goat seems alright, the riding thing sounds appealing.

The lizard is cute, but looks ridiculous. If it was supposed to be a ferret or something, and had a nose, I'd like it more.

I think you're talking about the pokemon Sugimori designed. That was his art style during the first two games when he still designed pokemon. Pokemon now ate designed by a whole team, which is why they look different
