I'd actually like them to stop making new ones pretty soon. It's not because I'm a genwunner. I love most new pokemon and seeing the new creations is my favorite part of the hypetrain (I don't know how people could care about anything more than the new pokemon), but I'd like pokemon to remain something I can easily wrap my mind around completely so that each one has a place in my mind, which couldn't happen if there were, say, 1000 of them.
