I don't think it would be that great as a grass starter. Doesn't represent grass at all except for that tiny leaf in its mouth. Kinda glad it's just a regular Pokemon you can catch in the wild.

I like the idea of a route 1 fighting type. We've had a few early game fighting types before, but they were both in append games.

There's always been a Fighting pokemon available by the 2nd gym, and often available before the first. They're usually just in an out of the way area.

I think so too.

I'm hoping this is a special attacker with aura sphere. I'm feeling a lot of nasty plot and prankster from this design, and since "parting remark" doesn't seem to do damage, prankster opens up a lot of opportunities for it.

I think his English name will be Scounda (Scoundrel + Panda) and it will evolve once, it'll be the new Hariyama but with better speed and that leaf is going to be replaced by a bamboo chute staff upon evolution, pure Fighting, Fighting/Grass or Fighting/Dark.
