Grass/Rock isn't a huge disaster. I've had good times with Cradily. Grass is a worse typing to have on its own. The only things worse you could get than pure grass would be bug/grass, ice/grass and ground/grass. THOSE guys get wrecked by their typing, with Aboma being saved by an ability.

Grass/Rock would actually be a decent typing. It may still have four weaknesses, but two of those will by taken out by its Rock STAB moves. Assuming that this will turn into a fast physical sweeper (which it looks like it will), it has potential since Rock and Grass are decent attacking types.

Grass/Steel is a great type since Steel makes Grass lose most of their weaknesses besides Fire of course and only gaining a Fighting weakness.
So here's hoping for a speedy Grass/Steel Physical Sweeper who can learn Shell Smash.

rock type would still be better, due to being SE vs fire, flying and bug...just the things that resist grass

add quake for poisons and steels and you have quite a mighty sweeper indeed
