Many years after it first came out I got pokemon emerald yesterday.

The starting pokemons are gay and stupid. The wild pokemon are less gay, but still stupid.
Ok, I can take it. Tried trading with my completed LeafGreen game, but "the machine isnt set to trade with faraway worlds" or some bullshit like that.

So I downloaded a complete Emerald save, traded pokemon from LeafGreen to this save and tried trading them again, to my original Emerald game.
And it says "that pokemon cant be traded now". WHAT THE FUCK, programmers. Why would you do this. What kind of stupid fuck would intentionally discourage me from playing the game and try to alienate me is such a stupid way? I am seriously pissed now and deleting Emerald. Stupid dimwitted game developers.

You do know it has not been possible to simply trade pokemon from newer games to older ones except for games of the same trio (eg ruby sapphire and emerald) since gen 2, right?

2.Oh, but despite being released later, LeafGreen is a remake and all the pokemon I wanted to trade were from generation 1, therefore I was effectively trying to trade from an older game. I can recall trading charmander to crystal about an hour into the game.
3.Despite my love for the games I dont see how I could possibly make a fool of myself on a freaking pokemon board.

You have to do the sidequests on the Sevii Islands where you bring the Ruby and Sapphire back to Celio in FR/LG to enable trades with RSE.

Thanks, but I did that, the problem isnt on the LeafGreen side, but on the emerald side, it just doesnt allow older pokemon.

And I transferred my level 100 legendary birds through and romped through silver the first time I played. It was a mistake really and ruined the game, thats why GF don't have direct transfer from older games anymore, you have to wait until after you beat the game to access the mechanism to transfer from older games. This mechanism doesn't exist in RSE because the older pokemon files were incompatible with new then so couldn't be transferred over anyway.

As to using a hacked rom save file I'm glad the game detected your faggotry, shandys should keep to their shitty roms as real pokemon games are too intense for them.

That defeats the purpose. I didnt want to complete the pokedex, I wanted to play a new adventure game with the pokemon I grew to like when I was young, for nostalgia.

I was also angry because I saw the addition of the 100 new pokemon in generation 2 as a needed and benefitial change. While one could argue that 151 pokemon are already enough, the thing with the first gen was that if you wanted a particular type of pokemon you were quite limited in your choices. GSC added more pokemon while letting you keep the old. The emerald version added new, while effectively removing the old pokemon which seems horribly limiting. And I dont care that you can get them after you beat the elite four....as I said, once the storyline is over I consider the game done. Its like getting the best weapon in a FPS game after beating the final boss.

I dont know who you are, so I am not going to call you names, but I know what it means when a game is difficult so I dont need those lessons. And pokemon games were never-EVER difficult, they are as easy as games got in the time they were made.

I learnt my lesson when I ruined silver for myself, when I was a kid, I was trying to stop you from making the same mistake, but go ahead and play through the first gym with a dratini if you can find a way of doing it, I don't care anymore.
