>>12288192It's because each game has a color theme. Each legendary matches the theme of the legendaries, and each trainer is designed on the themes as well. They're not connected to the legendaries--they're just both connected to the blue/red theme of the game (which was also used with BW, BW2, and RBG which is getting pretty old)
