>>12300391Evil team turns out to be a sort of syndicate formed by family feuds. There are 2 supposed branches of the Pokefrance royal family, and they're fighting over who would be the true heir to the throne, you, or your second rival (evil family's child).
It turns out that the second branch of that family plans to rule pokefrance with an iron fist by capturing Xerneas/Yvetal. They're able to get away with it though, because they operate in secrecy. Xerneas/Yvetal are said to appear in some remote mountain where only "powerful trainers" may enter. The evil family then sends their supposed heir to the throne, your rival, to take on the pokemon league challenge. When s/he wins, s/he is then allowed to travel to the said mountain to battle Xerneas/Yvetal.
Twist?
The evil family's child has no clue whatsoever that you're part of the other branch of the family and vice-versa. Neither does s/he know that s/he's being used by his/her family to capture Xerneas/Yvetal. You two travel as friendly rivals since you both want to be the champion for your own reasons. In the end, your rival captures Xerneas/Yvetal finds out the true motives of his/her family, and turns his/her back on them. S/he then releases the legendary since s/he wants to live a simple life, and you turn out to be the prince/ss of pokefrance.
