That's the problem with Pokemon, when you add 100+ designs ever iteration, it's really easy to find 4-5 you like or 4-5 you don't like and use them to tar the whole generation.

I like all generations, and I'm certainly not a 'genwunner'. But...

One thing I hated about Gen 5 is that they literally took Gen 1 and make 'alternative versions' of lots of pokemon.

- Sawk/Throh and Hitmons
- Pidove and Pidgey lines
- Purrloin and Meowth lines
- Munna and Drowzee lines
- Audino and Chansey
- A new three-stage rock pokemon
- A new two stage horse
- A new two-stage bat
- Tympole and Poliwag lines
- Two new Grass-type pokemon exclusive to each version
- New Water/Rock and Rock/Flying fossils
- Trubbish and Grimer lines
- Tauros and Bouffalant

I get that they wanted a reboot of the franchise, but a true restart would have generated a whole new set of pokemon independent of the first generation . Most pokemon were rehashes of Gen 1, and felt stale in comparison.

Things Gen 5 got right:

- Decent Bug-types at the start
- Desert area pokemon were very good

And this is not directed at you but at the anon who said eggs are not food but fetuses, yeah an egg contains a chicken fetus but eggs are still considered food as well because they are eaten plain or used as an ingredient in other dishes.
