/vp/ let me tell you a story...

On my Randomized White Nuzlocke run, I once came down to a point where there were no available routes until I fought through the entire cold storage and the gym that followed. I only had two usable pokemon at the time, a Bayleef and a Seel. I had felt like giving up at that point after losing too many valuable friends to random chance. You, however, encouraged me to keep up the run, and lo and behold, my party survived the endeavor and the new route introduced me to a very valuable party member, a Volcarona I named Lalavava.

The other day, I had encountered a situation that was similar. I had reached Victory Road, and Lalavava died... trying to catch a wild Heracross. In spite of my continuous ball chucking, that Heracross eventually managed to kill itself with Take Down. Not only did I miss the Victory Road pokemon, but I lost my Volcarona. I knew I had to give up...

But then I checked around my map and realized I still had a chance. Routes 17 and 18 were unexplored. I could still fight this.

Today, I just caught a Metagross on Route 17. I realize now that I can still win the good fight. I offer to you now the opportunity to nickname him. Give him a title worthy of finishing the home stretch, /vp/.
