i actually have a shiny garchomp. the gible hatched from a breeding cycle when i was getting close to the end of my iv breeding for a battle subway scarfchomp. hence it has absolutely monstrous IVs and a jolly nature. i don't even care that it only looks slightly different. imo, it looks better, which is more than can be said for a lot of shinies, and there's just that satisfaction from knowing that your garchomp isn't like other garchomps. that is until BW2 came out and everyone got shiny gibles. fucking shit.

I had never actually caught a shiny until fifth generation when I caught a blue Patrat (love that thing shiny)
In b2/w2 I was looking around for a Castform 'cause I didn't know it was rustling grass only and I caught a shiny deerling. Haven't battled with it yet, I'm thinking of EV training it.

These are muh shinies.

Spearow appeared when EV training Gengar.
Tentacool appeared when EV training Starmie.
Golbat appeared when leveling something in Victory Road.
Venonat appeared the other week and I can't remember what the fuck I was doing.

We are transported to the Pokemon world but everything is a little tougher than in the games. Your only Pokemon are the ones you have legit shinies of. How fucked are you/how does your team and battle style change?

I've been semi-lucky with shinys in my life.

First was a shiny Wingull i got while surfing in Emerald.
Second was a shiny Rattata in FireRed, was a bro for quite some time.
Third was my favorite by FAR, a shiny fucking Porygon from the game corner in FireRed. I was ecstatic.
Forth and fifth were a product of shiny hunting. got a shiny wurmple after about 150 random encounters on the first route on Emerald. Then a shiny Ralts after a few days of MM.

and thats all so far for me /vp/.

I recently caught my first shiny, a piloswine in white 2. Unfortunately, Mamoswine can't learn Icicle Crash, Ice Shard, or Avalanche without breeding, so he will be gimped move wise. He's also a neutral nature and his ability is oblivious, which is trash. I'm considering using Action Replay to give him a good nature and ability and the standard moveset, does anyone know if that sort of stuff is detected in wifi battles?

I do have quite a few from trades and giveaways but Zubat was my only legit one.
I kind of hope they create more shiny colors and alt forms for pokemon in the future. I really just want a fat pikachu

If I had caught that Pidgey and saved afterwards, the RNG would not have given me the vastly superior shiny Houndour.
