I personally found super contests better. though both beat musicals.

Thinking about it, when they went to america they had a broadway style optional play, so what's a french passtime? Perhaps we'll get something based off that.

Speaking of this, I noticed that the 3D renders shown on the european versions of the website are a lot smaller in the status screen than on the american one.

Maybe the english screenshots were made with an older version of the game ?

Victini was #0 because its a special case. The Mew Legendary is always the last in the dex (save gen 4, which had Arceus) and Victini was moved to the other end, because you could obtain it before your third badge if you got the game when it came out. I.e., it would spoil the surprise of Keldeo and Genesect

Maybe it's the symbol for Kalos and that's supposed to be the eiffel tower thing we see in the trailer, and pokémon from other regions will have symbols representing their region

Rollouts accuracy isn't even that bad, I don't doubt after a lucky 3 turns that Chespin would steam roll anything that doesn't outspeed it at that point.

I missed thunder six times in a row then blast burn two times in a row straight afterward. Luck is not always on your side.

(The pokemon had less than half life, so I killed it with the third blast burn. Needless to say, I was pissed)

Not just one case. I could rant about dumb luck all day long, but my main point is that Rollout will fail on you at a time you won't want it to.

Lance's Dragonite in the red, use calm mind to boost my Alakazam since I know it will use full restore, actually attacks and kills my Alakazam and Lance full restores the following turn.

pretty sure this. it's int he shape of a pentagon, which is very similar to the actual shape of the region.
also it's the colors of the french flag.

I'm guessing that each region will have a symbol and the pokedex will show you what region the pokemon came from

No, ribbons have been around plenty for other things and aren't just contest-exclusive anymore.

It's been that way for a long time, plus backwards compatibility means it needs to remain that way.

There might still be contests, but this isn't evidence one way or the other.
